Toni's Struggle

Ask any sales professional about prospecting or outreach, and you'll hear a familiar sigh.

I had heard it in every sales team I'd been part of, but it wasn't until joining (opens in new tab) Reforest Finland that I truly understood why. As part of this ambitious ten-person startup team, with shareholders expecting rapid growth, we had all the modern tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator – yet found ourselves trapped in the same cycle I'd seen everywhere else: endless hours of prospecting and routine tasks instead of actual selling.

Desperate for meetings, I tried everything. Cold calling lists from B2B databases left me feeling like a telemarketer. Trade fairs were better – at least I could see the person's reaction – but they were expensive and infrequent.

But frustration often leads to innovation. While searching for a better way, I stumbled upon something that would change everything.

The Revelation

It started with experimenting with automation tools for finding and contacting potential customers. The results were immediate: while continuing my regular sales work, I was suddenly booking 2-5 sales meetings weekly, almost on autopilot.

That's when it hit me – this is how modern sales should work.

Sales people's time was being wasted on manual prospecting and outreach when they could be in meetings, building relationships, and closing deals.

A Universal Problem

When I shared this experience with other Leadkins founders, Juuso and Joni, we realized we had lived the same story. Juuso had faced these exact same struggles at a company generating nearly €100 million in revenue, while Joni had battled identical challenges at a larger startup.

The pattern was clear – regardless of company size, the traditional way of doing sales was holding teams back.

Most small and medium-sized companies face this exact dilemma: they need consistent meetings but can't afford dedicated prospecting specialists.
